Nobody plans on being charged with a criminal offence. We understand that facing the sudden and unexpected costs of hiring a lawyer can be daunting.
Legal fees at Beaver Leebody Frank & Simić are guided by three principles:
1. Free Consultations
Nobody should be denied preliminary legal advice on any matter solely on the basis of finances. All of the lawyers at our firm offer free initial consultations. It will generally not cost you anything to schedule an initial appointment to come in and talk with a lawyer about your case.
2. Flexible Fees
Just as every case is unique, every client is unique. Our fees are not set in stone and our lawyers are prepared to work with you to develop a fee structure that is agreeable to both you and your lawyer. Likewise, we stand by the fees that we quote to a client and will not demand funds beyond what is agreed upon.
3. Flexible Payment Options
We understand that not everybody has immediate access to funds on a moment's notice in order to pay a lawyer's fees. If required and where appropriate, our fees may be paid by installments on a schedule which is amenable to your budget. We also offer the convenience of direct deposit from your financial institution to our trust account.
The best advice we can give you is to meet with a lawyer early on. The earlier you contact us prior to any upcoming court appearances, the more time we have to work with you on a retainer, and the more time we can give you to make periodic deposits.
